We are asking for your help to ensure LGBTQ+ people with intellectual disability can take part in the Private Lives 4 survey. Private Lives a research series conducted by the Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health and Society (ARCSHS) at La Trobe University, and is one of Australia’s most important sources of evidence about LGBTIQA+ people’s lives.

For the first time, an Easy Read version of the survey is available so that people with intellectual disability have a meaningful opportunity to participate and have their experiences included. The general survey is already closed, however, to ensure maximal uptake, the easy read version of the survey is being kept open until 30th September.

	What is this about? We want to learn about the lives of LGBTIQA+ people with intellectual disability. We are helping with a survey called Private Lives 4. A survey is a set of questions. Your answers help research and resources for helping people like you.
	Who can do the survey? You can do the survey if you: – identify as LGBTIQA+ – have an intellectual disability – complete it before September 30th 2026
	How can you do the survey? There is an Easy Read version of the Private Lives 4 survey. Doing the survey is your choice. You do not have to do it. You can do the survey by yourself by clicking: Private Lives 4 Easy Read You can also get help to do the survey.
