SKILL Workshops – Nuriootpa

You are registering for a series of capacity releasing workshops being run by JFA Purple Orange in Nuriootpa during November and December 2020. Please register for each event you would like to attend.
These workshops are for people living with disability, family members and allies. The idea is that in order to achieve the best outcomes you would attend all workshops.
These events are free, lunch is provided. The workshops are funded through an NDIA Information, Linkages and Capacity Building grant.
The workshops have been co-designed by people living with disability for people living with disability. The facilitators of the workshop are Jennifer Job from Life Upcycled and Cherie Rowett from Heart Choice Enterprises.
Wednesday 11th November Workshop 3: Manage your supports explains how to utilise your supports to build your best life, and ensure you get what you need when you need it. We will look at self-direction and how to self-manage under the NDIS system.
Thursday 12th November Workshop 4: Connect with your community examines the rights and preferences for your own community connection .
Wednesday 2nd December Workshop 5: Feeling at home enables people to explore the meaning of home and the various options for creating your home and bringing a vision of your own home to life.
Thursday 3rd December Workshop 6: Safeguard your success looks at important concepts such as safeguards and safety, dignity of risk and strategies for raising concerns. It will also look at the benefits of Peer Networks.
