SACID is looking for new Board members.
There are 2 spots open:
- Treasurer.
- General Board member.
SACID is run by Board members who are:
- Self-advocates with intellectual disability.
- Family members of people with intellectual disability.
- Interested community members who have a history of working in the disability sector.
There is representation from South Australia and the Northern Territory on the board.
All Board members are passionate about the right for people with intellectual disability to be included and valued in our community.
About the roles:
SACID seeks a Treasurer and General Board Member to join our Board.
SACID has grown quickly over the last few years.
We want to make sure our Board has a diverse skill set that can support the organisation to continue to thrive with strong governance into the future.
Board members must attend 8 board meetings generally held monthly between February-October. The SACID AGM is held in late October or early November.
Board meetings are held the last Monday of the month in the late afternoon. Meetings are in person and online. Applications from people outside of Adelaide are welcome.
Board members are encouraged to join either our Governance, Risk and Finance Committee or our Business Development Committee if they have capacity to do so. These committees meet quarterly.
