Subject: Share your thoughts about accessing healthcare procedures
Researchers from Flinders University are doing a research project to help make having healthcare procedures better for people with intellectual disability.

Who can take part?
Adults (18 years or older) with an intellectual disability who:
- have had a blood test, vaccination or medical imaging
or
- have been asked to get one but have been unable to.
What’s involved?
- An interview for 20 to 40 minutes
or
- If this is too long, we can take breaks between interviews. This might mean you talk to us 2 times for 15 minutes.
It can happen:
- In person
or
- Online using Microsoft Teams
or
- On the phone
If you have had a medical procedure, you can talk about:
- What was good or bad about the procedure
- How could it be better
If you have been unable to have a procedure, you can talk about:
- What made it difficult
- What could people do to make it better
What else you should know?
- You will receive a $50 gift card for your time
- Taking part is your choice. You can say no.
- What you say will be kept private.
