The SACID Reference Group is a sub-committee of the SACID Board.
All members of the SACID Reference Group have intellectual disability.
The Reference Group members give advice and direction to the Board about what is important to them.
They also give feedback about new resources, project ideas and share their personal experiences.
The Reference Group have also been involved in:
Consultations with government departments,
Consultations about the NDIS home and living and supported decision making,
Provided feedback on the review of different legislations
Written letters to government bodies such as South Australian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (SACAT) and Office of the Public Advocate (OPA)
The Reference Group members help to make sure that the work SACID does is relevant to people with intellectual disability and their families.
