This project is led by Speak Out Advocacy Tasmania in partnership with SACID.

The project will support people with intellectual disability in regional Tasmania and regional and metro South Australia to:

• Co-design strategies and pathways to increase their contribution in governance.
• Make their own decisions in meetings, advisory groups and boards.
• Be recognised for the knowledge they have and their ability to gain more.

The project will use co-design and action learning strategies with boards led by people with intellectual disability.

The project will also work with boards to improve the inclusivity of their governance processes and build confidence to appoint Board members with intellectual disability.
