SACID has a new Board Chairperson.

Dell Stagg has stepped down after 18 years as Chair of the SACID Board. Tish Custance-Thurston is the new Chair of the SACID Board.

 

The SACID community is very grateful to Dell for her dedication to the organisation.

Dell has had a huge impact on the lives of people with intellectual disability, families and caregivers, and others across South Australia.

She continues to be a courageous advocate for people with intellectual disability and their families.

 

Tish Custance-Thurston is the Chairperson of the SACID Board from 1 July 2024.

Tish says:

“It is my pleasure to serve as SACID’s new Chair. I extend my thanks to Dell for her incredible work over many years to make a more inclusive society for people with intellectual disability.

I have been on SACID’s Board since 2019. I am passionate about supporting the great work Felicity and the team do. I feel privileged to be more deeply involved in my new role as Chair.

I am looking forward to working with everyone and hope I can contribute to SACID’s success in a meaningful way.”

Tish has held a range of roles in Human Resources in disability service providers in South Australia and Victoria. She promotes a diverse and inclusive workforce and is passionate about creating inclusive, accessible environments.

Tish possesses a Master of Business Administration, Graduate Certificate in Management, and a Bachelor of Journalism.
